Patricia A. Fiori is a Partner at Utrecht, Kleinfeld, Fiori, Clark, Partners.  She practices in the areas of federal and state election law, campaign finance, ethics and lobbying laws.  Ms. Fiori’s practice includes representation of individuals, candidates, campaign committees, unions, corporations and trade associations.  Ms. Fiori holds an undergraduate degree from Goucher College and a Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School.

Ms. Fiori’s representation includes the 2008 and 2004 Presidential campaigns of Senator John Edwards, the Gore/Lieberman 2000, and the Clinton/Gore ’96 and ’92 campaigns.  Ms. Fiori began her legal career as a Legislative Attorney at Congressional Research Service, and then joined the staff of the Federal Election Commission serving as Assistant General Counsel for Regulations and Legislation. While in this position, Ms. Fiori specialized in drafting regulations and advising on campaign finance legislation. She later served as Executive Assistant to Commissioner John W. McGarry. After leaving the Commission, Ms. Fiori entered private law practice, initially serving as Special Counsel to the Mondale Ferraro campaign.

Ms. Fiori is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. 

Campaign Law
The Firm works with candidate committees and has extensive experience in advising campaigns with regard to federal campaign finance law, including public financing and the audit process. The Firm provides comprehensive legal services to campaigns on
all legal matters.
Nonprofits
The Firm works with nonprofits at all stages, from the establishment of the entity, to advice regarding the complexities of tax law and campaign finance law.
Ethics
We provide guidance on applicable ethics requirements, completing and filing financial disclosure forms, establishment of blind trusts, as well as compliance with gift, travel, and conflicts of interest rules.
